Responsibility
As a jewelry business, we are committed to the highest ethical standards. Traceability is the key to understanding and controlling the environmental and social impact. Hence we have partnered with Botswanamark™, a company that empowers the Motswana with a responsible supply chain that transparently tracks diamonds from source through manufacturing to the end customer.
Botswanamark™ diamonds are mined by Debswana, which is one of the world’s foremost diamond producers (by value and volume). They are cut and polished in ateliers in Botswana or India where high ethical, social and environmental standards ensure that polishers and cutters are supported in their work and lives. Botswana is considered a success story as it invests the proceeds from the trade in diamonds in water and transport infrastructure, education and healthcare to significantly improve the lives of all Motswana.
All stones above 0.20 carats come with a Botswanamark™ provenance certificate and all stones above 0.30 carats are additionally certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), which is the world’s most trusted independent diamond institute.
We only use recycled gold and platinum from the EU certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). This means that aspects such as environmental protection, labour safety, human rights and business ethics are taken into account. In addition all pieces are made to order to help minimize waste.
